ABOUT US
Investments
We are an investment company focused on concentrated value investments, both public and private. We source and structure investments with a select number of institutional investors and family offices. With a focus on complex transactions, we work to create value for all of our partners and portfolio companies.
Consulting / Advisory Assignments
We conduct a limited number of consulting arrangements serving as Board Member or other Stakeholder Representative. We focus on special situation assignments such as pre-restructuring, post-restructuring, activist, and others where smart, focused, and independent thinkers can drive a positive outcome.

Keep Moving Forward
The difference between success and failure is often the proactivity of the participants. We endeavor to be the type of partners that push forward in the face of issues that inevitably arise in any business endeavor.
Be Objective
No investment or business decision is ever made with perfect information. We must rely on our judgement. However, good judgement can only be exercised if we have a good process for determining and analyzing the facts. We believe such a process allows us to avoid decisions clouded by hope, fear, panic, or greed. We see the state of the world as it is, not as we hope it to be.
Give More of Ourselves Than We Receive
At first sight, this idea sounds like a losing proposition. However, we believe that, over time, the act of giving more value than we receive will create a "halo effect" on us as business partners. We pursue our business endeavors passionately and we hope that benefit accrues to our partners.
Never Compromise Our Integrity and Look For That Quality In Our Partners
Business is ultimately a game of trust. We do what we say we are going to do. We do it to the best of our abilities. We offer total transparency to our partners. We expect the same from them.
OUR VALUES
First and foremost, we are value investors
We readily compare the price we pay to the value we receive. We want the cost of being wrong to be very low and the reward from being right to be very high.
We are patient investors
We wait for the perfect pitch and when we find it, we swing hard. In the immediate term, we never feel compelled to do anything.
We focus on the long term
Companies with uncertain near term prospects have a tendency to trade poorly, even if the long term prospects for the business are attractive. We find such an environment to be furtile ground for attractive investment opportunities. Since near term volatility does not drive our investment decisions, we are able to focus on the discrepancy between short term performance and long term value and take advantage of it.
We cannot predict the future with any specificity
We avoid investments which require very specific outcomes in order to be successful. We strive to be approximately correct rather than precisely wrong.
